The design, inspired by the theatrical knots of traditional Japanese theater, exudes an exotic atmosphere. The front view of the store is an appealing composition of grilles, steps, platforms, roofs, and exposed concretes. The reception area, adorned with slanting roofs, offers a cozy and homely ambiance to the guests.
Unique to this design is the use of a Japanese style courtyard and planter box. The private booths are decorated with iron grilles and round windows, presenting a distinct view and a modern Japanese style. The application of cement finish and logs creates a pleasant atmosphere that is both inviting and comforting.
The design spans a space of 720 square meters. The wooden grilles applied at the aisle and dining area delicately isolate different seats without entirely blocking views. The wood rack wall, the Japanese wine jars, and the linear lights at the reception area create a lively and intriguing atmosphere.
The project, completed in June 2017 in Taichung City, Taiwan, faced the challenge of maintaining a warm and composed atmosphere. This was achieved by decorating the log staircase with ironworks. The design reflects Chia-Lung Yeh's prodigious talent and wisdom, advancing the art of interior design.
In conclusion, "A Wonderful Time" is a testament to Chia-Lung Yeh's innovative approach to interior design. The fusion of modern Japanese aesthetics with a log texture style creates a unique, inviting, and award-winning space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. This design not only reflects the designer's prodigy and wisdom but also significantly impacts the world of interior design with its desirable characteristics.
